The SCO library is home to VISIONET, a highly regarded comprehensive database of optometric and vision literature. The database is produced by staff at the SCO library, and is used internationally. VISIONET utilizes the entire journal collection of the SCO library. VISIONET now operates on the Millennium platform, which enables more sophisticated searching of the database than the previous platform.
VISIONET services include Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery of articles from journals that SCO subscribes to. Document Delivery charges are $10.00 for handling, in addition to copyright fees as determined by the Copyright Clearance Center. Practitioners, students, faculty, researchers and manufacturers may use information from these journals to help promote optimum patient care.
VISIONET subscription cost for institutions is $1,350 per year, and includes an unlimited number of searches and simultaneous users.
