SCO Spouse and Partner Orientation Program
The Office of Student Services is excited to invite your spouses, partners, and significant others to the SCO Spouse and Partner Orientation Program that will coincide with New Student Orientation on Thursday, August 25th.
The purpose of the SCO Spouse and Partner Orientation Program is to orient first-year students’ families, spouses, partners, or significant others with SCO’s programs and services and to give them some insight as to what your next four years (and beyond) will be like. Students are more successful when their families and friends are interested and supportive of their academic aspirations.
The Spouse and Partner Orientation Program will provide an overview of topics including the first-year experiences, campus life, support services, student activities, and the profession of optometry (see agenda PDF). The event is led by Dr. Carrie Lebowitz who not only heads up our Academic Support Services Program, but who was married and gave birth to her first child while completing optometry school.
