Students Clean Up Highway

SCO students from Gamma Omicron, a local service fraternity, spent the afternoon of Saturday, Feb. 13, working a two-mile stretch along Goodman Road in Southaven. Joined by some other students from SCO's SVOSH chapter and faculty adviser, Dr. Beth Sparrow, the group devoted two and a half hours working as part of their quarterly clean-up project. Several years ago, Gamma Omicron chose the spot as part of the Adopt-A-Highway program. Read More

SCO Hosts WTOS Meeting

David Marco, president of Marco Ophthalmic, Inc., visited with Dr. Glen Steele during a recent meeting of the West Tennessee Optometric Society (WTOS) on campus at SCO. Marco also spoke to the group, which was a joint meeting between the WTOS and SCO’s student chapter of the Tennessee Optometric Association (TOA). Taub to Represent SCO

The Eye Center at Southern College of Optometry recently became a member organization of the Tennessee Disability Coalition. Dr. Marc T. Taub, Director of Vision Therapy and Rehabilitation Services, will serve as SCO's representative on the organization's board.
