Hello Class of 2025 & Welcome to Orientation!
All of us here at SCO are so excited to welcome you to our community! The entire college has been working diligently over the past few months to ensure that the Orientation experience for you is informative, engaging, safe and --- more than anything – fun!
Over the next couple of weeks, you will engage in a two-tiered Orientation experience: Pre-Recorded Sessions and In-Person, On-Campus Sessions. View the Orientation Schedule page of this website for more information.
Please note: online does not mean optional.
Every aspect of the Orientation schedule is REQUIRED attendance/viewing for all Class of 2025 students; from videos you can watch at home, to the times you’ll be asked to physically come to campus. Failing to complete or attend anything listed on the schedule will be synonymous with missing Orientation as a whole.
If there are any pressing extenuating circumstances that prevent you from completing or attending anything on the Orientation schedule, please email [email protected] ASAP.
Continue to check your email, this webpage, and the Class of 2025 IRIS page on a regular basis. These will be your one stop shops when looking for updates or instructions.
Also, once you know your new Memphis address, please login to the Blackbaud Student Portal and follow this path:
Add New Address
Fill in The Blanks Except REGION, Which Should Be Left Blank
If You Want All SCO Mail Sent to The Memphis (Business/College) Address, Check “Preferred Address”
Be sure to indicate if you want this to be your “home” and local address or just your local address.
Thank you all for your flexibility, adaptability and follow-through as we head into your first year with Southern College of Optometry.
As always, please do not hesitate to contact our office if you have any questions, or if we can assist in your transition to Memphis.
In the meantime, take care, and we’ll be seeing you all soon!
