In addition to teaching at Anatomy at SCO, Dr. Fitzgerald is a professor in the Biology department at Christian Brothers University and an adjunct professor of Anatomy and Neurobiology at UT Center for Health Sciences. Dr. Fitzgerald has been awarded numerous national teaching awards. Much of her research is in the neurobiology of vision.
Dr. Fitzgerald is an Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology Silver Fellow, and a member of the Society for Neuroscience, International Society of Eye Research and the Association for Ocular Pharmacology and Therapeutics.
