"Dear Dr. Groce Scholarship Supporters, I am honored to be one of the recipients for the Dr. Alicia A. Groce Scholarship in Neuro-Rehabilitation. It means a great deal to receive an award in Neuro-Rehabilitation, as I have such a growing passion in this field and the patients that I have been fortunate to manage. I have decided to pursue a residency with heavy emphasis in Neuro-Rehabilitation to strengthen my knowledge. I plan on working with brain injury patients in my future practice and I am extremely thankful for the exposure I received at SCO that allowed me to discover Neuro-Rehabilitation. "

"Getting the SCO Faculty Endowed Scholarship was a significant factor in my decision to come to SCO, as it helps relieve a large amount of stress associated with paying for optometry school. This generous donation allows me to attend the country’s best optometric institution without having to worry about taking out too many loans. I am very thankful to the staff members that make this scholarship possible."

- Soham Phatak, Class of 2025

"Since starting at SCO, I have realized how truly lucky I am to have the opportunity to be receiving such an amazing education in an esteemed profession. My wife’s work with young children in the city, along with my schooling so far, has me primarily interested in practicing optometry with a focus in pediatrics. It goes without saying that such dreams may not have been possible without the continued support of successful, generous donors such as yourself. As you continue through your days know that your contribution have a profound impact on students like myself, so thank you in the truest sense of those words."
