Southern College of Optometry’s general operating hours are 8:30-4:30, Monday through Friday.
Please keep in mind that many hours have been adjusted as SCO implements COVID-19 prevention protocols.
Temporary changes to these schedules because of inclement weather, exams, or other special events will be communicated internally to the SCO campus via IRIS, email, and/or digital signage updates.
Please Note:
Because conditions of the pandemic have not significantly improved, we have decided to continue to close and/or limit operational hours as follows for Spring of 2021:
- We will continue to restrict students from accessing/using the Library, LRC, and general study areas for the fall term. Dr. Elkins has approved students who have short/defined time between labs to stay in these designated areas but only for those approved times. Otherwise, students should not be on campus before or after their clinic and/or lab assignments.
- The Activity Center will remain closed for use for all faculty, staff and students except for lab participation.
- Should the COVID conditions in Memphis improve, and the City issues a decree expanding access to citizens (ie re-opening Phase 3), the college will also consider re-opening above-referenced college facilities.
