Celebrate the best of 1968 with those that made it special, your SCO classmates.

Kick Off Party

Peabody Hotel, Corner Bar

Kick off your weekend in Memphis at this private party. This is the perfect opportunity to reconnect with friends as the weekend begins.

 


Friday, October 5

Class of 1968 Luncheon

SCO Campus

A private tour of campus and the opportunity to see how the student experience has changed. Transportation provided from the Peabody Hotel to SCO campus.

2–3:30pm

All School Convocation

Mississippi Boulevard Christian Church

All alumni and friends may join in celebrating SCO’s academic and professional achievements. The program honors the Lifetime Achievement Award winner and the Young Alumni Award winner. The Class of 1968 will be recognized and the Class of 2022 will be welcomed into the profession.

 


4:30–5:30pm

OD—Student "Meet & Greet"

South Lot, SCO Campus

Planning to hire an associate, or looking for a partner/ buyer for your practice in the next 1-4 years?  Would you like to meet potential hires/buyers during your time on campus?

The Hayes Center for Practice Excellence (HCPE) is hosting a “MEET AND GREET” to connect you with current students/residents looking for opportunities in your geographic area. Stop on by and mingle in the shade while having a cocktail.

 


4:30–7:30pm

“Taste of Memphis”

South Lot, SCO Campus

All are invited to join in this campus celebration featuring cuisine from local food trucks and High Cotton Brewery. Enjoy an evening of fun with music, activities, and the new Kid Zone. Take a tour of campus and see all the changes since you were a student. Transportation provided from Peabody Hotel to SCO campus.

Class of 1968 Breakfast

Join us for this final class event as we explore SCO and the future of optometry.

Eye Serve Memphis Volunteer Opportunity

Various community locations

Want to make a difference in our community AND network with SCO students and fellow alumni? Participate in the Inaugural SCO Day of Service.  Transportation provided.

Walking in Memphis Tour

Departs from Peabody Hotel

$25 per person

From Civil Rights to the Blues, we will take you up close and personal to some of Memphis’ greatest attractions and some of its secrets too.  Lace up your shoes!

Eye Serve Memphis Lunch ‘n Serve

SCO Campus (for participants of Eye Serve Memphis only)

An opportunity for all the volunteers from the various activities to share their experiences.

SCO Alumni Council Meeting

An Evening of Memphis, Memories, and Music

Peabody Hotel, Continental Ballroom

A memorable party for all guests featuring food stations, live music, and class reunion photos.

The Peabody Brunch

Available at the Peabody Hotel

Partake in one of the oldest traditions in Memphis. Voted the best brunch in Memphis and a fitting end to your weekend.
