SCO is pleased to make available the college’s pin supporting equality and justice. The pin’s symbolic artwork was created by Will Feriend, ’22, showing upstretched arms of different races holding glasses. The message affirms the commitment that optometry makes to serving patients of all backgrounds as a people profession.
In response to numerous requests from alumni and friends who saw photos of this pin on social media, SCO will be glad to send you a free pin as a gift to our alumni who are proud to promote their alma mater’s – and optometry’s – commitment to equality and justice for all.
Please fill out this form by November 1, 2020 and a pin will be sent to you. The pin comes attached to a card giving more information about what it represents. We hope this information will be helpful to you when engaging in constructive dialogue with your patients and friends.
SCO is proud of this student-led initiative and our students share our appreciation to you for helping promote this effort.
Thank you.
