Southern College of Optometry's Lions Club recently held its 2011 induction ceremony. Seventy new members were inducted into the chapter, including students and even a few SCO staff members.
The induction ceremony was described as one of the largest ceremonies ever performed by Lions Club District Governor David Butler, who also was guest speaker at the event.
On a related note, a peace poster recently selected by the SCO Lions Club has gone on to win the district and national poster competition. The winning student's work will now go on to compete internationally.
