Stephanie McLin, '12, a third-year student at Southern College of Optometry, was recently chosen as the recipient of a $2,500 InfantSEE Scholarship Grant.
A native of Mooresville, North Carolina, McLin is a 2005 graduate of North Carolina State University in Raleigh. She is the daughter of Rose and Gerald McLin, also of Mooresville.
The InfantSEE Scholarship Grant was created by Vision West, Inc. (VWI), a leading national ophthalmic product-buying group to promote InfantSEE, a no-cost public health program developed to provide professional eye care for infants nationwide.
The award was announced by Optometry Cares - The AOA Foundation's Endowment Fund Advisory Committee. "Through these scholarships, Optometry Cares and its generous sponsors are helping future optometrists concentrate more on completing their optometric education than on their school debt," said Martha Rosemore Morrow, OD '74, president of Optometry Cares.
