Southern College of Optometry is pleased to welcome five new faculty members to campus prior to the start of the fall academic semester. New faculty members include:
- Dr. Kelley Dasinger, Instructor, a 2010 UAB graduate who completed a residency in Pediatric Optometry at SCO.
- Dr. Michael Dasinger, Instructor, a 2009 UAB graduate who completed a residency in Primary Care Optometry at SCO.
- Dr. Wil McGriff, Instructor, a 2010 UAB graduate who completed a residency in Family Practice Optometry at UAB Eye Care. He also earned a Master's Degree in Public Health from UAB.
- Dr. Christina Newman, Instructor, a 2007 Nova Southeastern graduate who completed a residency in Cornea, Contact Lens and Refractive Surgery at SCO.
- Dr. Pam Schnell, Assistant Professor, a 2001 SCO graduate who completed a residency in Pediatric Optometry at SUNY and then spent nine years on the SUNY faculty.
