My family and I just returned back to Atlanta from home hunting in Memphis. Wow!! Memphis has so many different neighborhoods and districts to choose from, and we are finally narrowing down the options on which location to make our next humble abode. It looks like we will be landing in either North Mississippi, or the Bartlett, TN area. Wherever we decide to live, the decision must be made soon because school starts in two months!!
For the past couple of months, my calculator has been a great friend as I have been sorting through school budgets, trying to see if I can create my own budget by cutting down expenses. For any future applicants, I must brag and let you know that SCO has a great financial aid staff. I have called the financial aid office a few times, and have emailed them even more in an effort to make sure I have a good understanding of how the loans work, and what the money can be used for. It seems like a lot to cope with, but the financial living expenses are finally coming together and making a clearer picture for the future.
Now, the big question is this… Is anyone else getting a little nervous on leaving their hometown? Nervous may be the wrong word, but I was raised in Atlanta, and have gotten so comfortable that leaving has made me a little anxious. Counting down the months has gone to counting down the weeks, and I’m starting to sweat a little bit. Reality is setting in, and a little change can shake up one’s equilibrium, but this change is for the good. Memphis, here we come. I’m ready!
Until next time……. Later~
