Greetings to All...
Finals are officially over with! I cannot believe that I just finished my first semester of Optometry school. I feel like I’ve achieved so much when I begin to think of my feelings at the beginning of the school year. All of my classes had a different degree of difficulty, especially Neuroanatomy and Anatomy (Thanks Dr. Taylor :) ), and to finally cross the finish line is incredibly special. I’m so glad we are done, and now my calculator can take a break from trying to assess my final grade in each class based on what I can possibly make on the final exam. I’m not really an advocate for the plus/minus grading system, but I just roll with the punches and do the best that I can, which I have.
It’s now time to relax, enjoy the break, do a little shopping, and spend some quality time with the family. Dr. Newman has forewarned us all that we may have to impress a few family members by using some “big” words and explaining a few things that I’ve learned over the semester, but I’m rest assured because I know I have been taught by some of the finest doctor’s an optometry school could have. After just one semester, I’ve learned so much. I really appreciate all the efforts SCO makes in preparing their students to be great doctors.
Be Safe, Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year to everyone!!
Until next time…. Later~
