Wow, a year and a half ago I was just starting optometry school and now I sit here as a second year getting ready to enter her second semester. It's crazy how fast school goes. Last semester went by so quickly. We learned binocular indirect opthalmoscopy, gonioscopy, non-contact fundoscopy, and so much more. I'm finally starting to feel like I have a small handle on what I will be doing as an optometrist but I know I still have so much to learn! I'm excited about the upcoming semester. We're getting into our core disease classes which should be very interesting, getting started on learning how to fit and examine contact lenses, and brisk the surface of vision therapy. It's a lot of brand new topics which I really feel will add a lot of fun to the semester (and probably a lot of work too!). I look forward to letting you know how it goes!
