Just got finished with an ophthalmics skills test. One part of it required picking up a lens and figuring out what the power was just by shaking it back and forth. The first time I saw someone do it, I was shocked. The doctor just asked for a student's glasses, looked through them while moving them around a bit, then announced her prescription right on! It felt like some sort of magic trick, but it's all optics. Hey, who knew that I'd be able to do that only a few weeks after seeing it done? I'm still not an expert at it, but I knew enough to nail that part of the test today.
Now I've got to figure out how to make my wife feel special (since it's Valentine's Day) and still be ready for my Anatomy II test tomorrow. Luckily, the snow last week gave me a few extra days to study already!
