Whao! I just got back from the the Eye Gym and can really tell that I got a workout today. Really, the "Eye Gym" is the Vision Therapy (VT) area of the clinic, but that doesn't mean it's not a workout. I go because my eyes get tired when I study a lot (which you can imagine happens often enough) so I go each week to improve my eye muscles. More than just strengthening my eye muscles, I've had to learn a lot about controlling my eye movements. I love learning the new skills and am starting to see a difference after I study.
Maybe VT could help you too. It can help some people with their reading problems. It can help people that have experienced traumatic events like strokes or head injuries. Even kids with eye troubles can benefit. And that's just what I've seen so far. It's a whole new world that I'd never experienced before coming to SCO and I had bifocals by the time I was 4.
On a different note, my intramural soccer team won it's second game in a row last night! The other team was good and had a lot of hustle, but we were still able to pull off an 8-5 win. My wife and daughter recently started coming to our games and we've won ever since. Looks like they're gonna have to make it all my games. :-)
