Thursday was convocation. It's a significant moment for 1st year students, as well as many others. The 1st year students received their white coats and we recognized past and present SCO students for their accomplishments. Attending brought back memories of last year when I was there receiving my white coat. It seems like I just got here, but another class of students is already well under way.
Friday night was the Homecoming BBQ and it was great. After studying all day at school, my wife and kids met me at the school and we headed over to the BBQ. The food was catered by Interstate BBQ so it was really good. Pulled pork sandwiches, beans, coleslaw and cookies. Mmm. We spent most of the rest of the night either watching my daughter in the inflatable bounce room or climbing the rock wall. I loved how there there was something for everyone, even the kids. The man making balloon animals even made my daughter an Elmo. Overall, the BBQ was a great success for the whole family.
