Wade Earns Top Award

Faculty Emerita Lisa Rossmeyer Wade, OD '84 , SCO's former Vice President for Institutional Advancement, recently received a top award for her Southern Thunder Harley-Davidson Dealership. Southern Thunder Harley-Davidson was awarded Harley-Davidson Motor Company's prestigious Platinum Bar & Shield Circle of Distinction Award for the 2010 calendar year. '79 Graduate Appointed to Georgia Board of Optometry

Georgia Governor Nathan Deal recently appointed Gerald "Jerry" Prchal, OD '79 to the Georgia State Board of Optometry. Dr. Prchal has practiced optometry in Albany and Blakely since 1979. He is currently on the board for Flint River Habitat for Humanity in Albany. He is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Georgia Optometric Association where he served as president in 2004. '99 Alumnus Represents Missouri During Visit

Missouri Optometric Association President Duane Thompson, OD '99, recently visited the SCO campus. The visit marked Dr. Thompson's first visit back to SCO since his graduation.
