1994 Graduate's Movie Premieres in Memphis

Readers of SCO's VISIONS magazine will recall a Spring 2010 feature story about David Evans, OD '94, and his quest to bring a story he wrote to the silver screen. After his story was adapted by a Hollywood script writer, Dr. Evans directed his project. "The Grace Card" stars Oscar-winning actor Louis Gossett, Jr., and was filmed in Memphis. Air Force Promotes 2005 Graduate to Major

In Memory of Frank W. Semmes, OD '64

Frank W. Semmes, OD '64, died Friday, February 11, 2011 in Tullahoma, Tennessee.  Dr. Semmes had practiced optometry since his graduation from SCO. Active in the Lions Club and his community, Dr. Semmes had served as president of the South Central Tennessee Optometric Society. Kungle Named Maryland's Young OD of the Year

Jennifer Kungle, OD '00, FCOVD, recently received the Young Optometrist of the Year Award from the Maryland Optometric Association.
