Optometric Residency Programs
SCO's Residency Programs
give graduate optometrists additional opportunities to expand their clinical
knowledge and skills.
The residency programs that
we offer include:
- Ocular Disease
- Family Practice Optometry
- Pediatric Optometry
- Low Vision
- Primary Eye Care
See a complete list of programs and their descriptions.
There is currently one
residency position in each of the College's programs except for the program at
the Memphis VA Hospital, which has six positions, and the program at the
Salisbury, NC VA Hospital, which has four positions.
Residencies are one
calendar year in length and begin on July 1.
Residents receive an annual
stipend, health insurance at group rates, professional liability insurance, and
travel funding.
All of our programs are either
accredited by the Accreditation Council on Optometric Education or being prepared for
accreditation.
