Gentry Appointed to Optometry Board

J. Scott Gentry, OD '81, was recently appointed by Governor Phil Bredesen to a five-year term on the Tennessee Board of Optometry. Dr. Gentry, a graduate of Wake Forest University, also received another recent honor. East Tennessee State University in Johnson City awarded him with an Honorary Alumnus degree. Read More

Graduate in the Military Spotlight

United States Air Force Captain Robert Carlsen, OD '10, was recently featured in a video posted to the Air Force's home page. The video profiles Dr. Carlsen's military optometry work at Lajes Field, Azores, Portugal. Captain Carlsen reports that he loves the Air Force and his assignment in the Azores. He hopes to visit with colleagues at SECO 2011 in Atlanta. Thanks to Captain Carlsen for representing his country and military optometry! Read More
