Mississippi Association Honors Alumni

The Mississippi Optometric Association (MOA) recently honored two SCO graduates as the organization's ODs of the Year. The MOA's OD of the Year is W. Earl Malone, OD '69, of McComb, MS. TOA Honors ODs of the Year

The Tennessee Optometric Association (TOA)  recently honored two SCO alumni at the organization's annual fall meeting in Gatlinburg. The TOA's Optometrist of the Year was Brad Altman, OD '94, of Lebanon, Tennessee. Young OD of the Year was Jeremy Diamond, OD '07, who practices in Newport, Tennessee. 1974 Graduate Honored

Charles J. Stuckey, Jr., OD '74, FAAO, MPA , executive director of the Pennsylvania Optometric Association, recently received the 2009 Virgil Deering Optometric Executive Director of the Year Award. The prestigious award was presented by the North Central States Optometric Council. 1977 Alumnus Inducted into Oklahoma Optometry Hall of Fame

Max Venard, OD '77, was recently recognized by the Oklahoma Association of Optometric Physicians (OAOP) as a 2009 inductee into the Pioneers in Optometry Hall of Fame.  Following his graduation from SCO, Dr. Venard began his optometric pracctice in Moore, Oklahoma. O'Brian Named SCO's Director of Alumni Programs
