Vice President for Student Services
The Vice President for Student Services (VPSS) is
responsible for all areas related to student services,
student organizations, and student programs. Other
departments that report to the VPSS are admissions and
enrollment services, student recruitment, and financial
aid. While the VPSS works closely with those
departments, the primary duties of the VPSS are detailed
as follows:
- Academic Scholarships –
Selects majority of the student awards from the College’s scholarship
endowment.
- College Calendar –
Produces official College Calendar for current academic year and projected
calendar for the next academic year.
- Commencement –
Responsible for arrangement and execution of the College’s Graduation
Ceremony.
- Enrollment
Verifications – Certifies student enrollment and/or degree confirmation upon
request.
- Food Services – Manages
the fourth-floor café.
- National Boards – Acts
as liaison for students regarding questions, College policies, and testing
dates regarding national boards.
- Publications – Produces
College Catalog and Student Handbook, which contain the majority of student
policies.
- Student Counseling –
Advises and counsels students regarding academic, personal and professional
matters.
- Student Directory –
Compiles and releases student directory information (name, address, phone,
email) and maintains it on College’s intranet. Address information can be
withheld upon request.
- Student Government
Association – Advises SGA in its function of representing the Student Body and
in its role of policy making.
- Student Organizations –
Counsels and approves functions of the various student organizations.
- Student Records –
Houses student and graduate files. Maintains pertinent information in each
student and graduate file.
