About SCO

Established in 1932, Southern College of Optometry is a private, not-for-profit, single-purpose institution of higher education located in Memphis, Tennessee which offers the four-year, post-baccalaureate degree of Doctor of Optometry.

SCO is one of only 17 schools and colleges of optometry in the United States. SCO alumni practice in all 50 states and 8 foreign countries; they constitute approximately 14% percent of all optometrists in the United States.
