On May 2, noted actor, singer, entertainer, author and motivational speaker Tom Sullivan delivered Southern College of Optometry’s 2008 commencement address. The college honored seniors the night before graduation at SCO’s 23rd Annual Senior Awards Ceremony.

VPIA Torbett Leaves SCO

Former Vice President for Institutional Advancement Shannon Reynolds Torbett has left SCO to join her family in St. Louis. SCO Breaks Fundraising Record

Southern College of Optometry recently ended its 75th Anniversary Campaign by more than doubling its fundraising goal. SCO raised more than $2.55 million for scholarships and endowments. Reich Named New VPAA at SCO

After a six-month nationwide search, Lewis Reich, OD, PhD, FAAO has been named Vice President for Academic Affairs at SCO. Dr. Reich’s appointment will become effective July 1.
